Set in a Port town outside of Liverpool, BABY FACED ASSASSIN follows 24-year-old super flyweight boxer, Paul Butler, in the five days leading up to the fight of his life. This visual narrative weaves layered audio and intimate verite footage, telling a coming of age story of a local hero.

Ellesmere Port is a damp North England factory town that has seen its share of unemployment and poverty. Youth in Ellesmere have few options. Inside the aging pubs, jogging past the faded facades, amongst the blue-collar culture, Butler stands out. He is an inspirational figure to the young athletes of the town and a unifying symbol of something greater – something beyond Ellesmere Port. As Butler says, “I want to win it for them as much as they want me to win it.”
